Franchising and Branded Dealership Expo, organized for the 22nd time this year by MediaFors Fuarcılık, opened its doors to visitors at Istanbul Yenikapı Eurasia Convention and Art Center.
More than 200 brands from many sectors are participating in the fair until October 20, while brands have the opportunity to meet with a wider consumer audience and establish new business partnerships. In addition, foreign investor candidates from different countries of the world visit the fair to bring Türk brands to their countries.
The fair, which has been held uninterruptedly for 22 years, continues to be the most important meeting point of the sector by getting bigger and bigger every year. This year, the fair aims to create an estimated business volume of 500 million dollars.
With more than 30,000 visitors expected to attend the fair, it is expected that more than 4,000 franchise and dealership agreements will be realized through the meetings to be held.
Answering the questions of the AA correspondent at the event, Medyafors Founder Özhan Erem stated that this is the first time they have seen such a large density at the fair, which they have been holding regularly for 22 years.
Erem, "So far, we have received more than 15 thousand requests through our ticket system for evolution. With an intense participation, investors will visit the fair and this is something that our participating brands were expecting. These investors will be the bosses of their own businesses by taking dealership franchises from these brands. Our first point of departure was to encourage people to a more profitable business, and in this sense, I think we have indeed been successful." he said.
Mentioning that investing in the real sector and becoming your own boss by buying a dealership has become a more profitable choice than many investment instruments such as interest, döviz, land and stock market, Erem stated that this situation is not only in Turkey but also in the world.
"There are dealership opportunities from 500 thousand liras to 25 million liras at our fair"
Emphasizing that Türkiye ranks second after the United States in franchising, Erem explained that the companies are in an intensive process of franchising, and concluded his words as follows:
"There are dealership opportunities from 500 thousand liras to 25 million liras at our fair. There are choices from many different sectors such as food, non-food, sports, fitness, education, home textiles, jewelry, perfume. Especially in café chains, there has been a huge increase in the last period, which is due to the fact that people prefer to invest in this field. Franchise system is the rising star of retailing. In the world, especially in the USA, 30 percent of retailers are part of a chain, while in Turkey, this rate is still around 3 percent, but we believe it will increase rapidly. Thanks to this system, brands take place in streets and shopping malls and gain a great advantage by applying a ready-made business model. As Turkey, I claim that we are the second in the world in the field of franchise. I invite all investors and visitors to this fair."
Noting that 4,600 foreign visitors attended the fair last year, Erem shared the information that brands made Master Franchise agreements with these visitors.
Erem pointed out that many brands have opened their stores and started franchise purchases, especially in Northern Iraq, Iran, Türk States, Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and said, "We expect our government to be with us in this process. We think that permanent export means opening a store in a country. In normal trade, you can find a wholesaler and sell goods, but the following year they may buy goods from another country. But when you open your own store abroad, you can export your products to that store all the time. We have brands that have achieved success in this way, we have brands that have spread to more than 50 countries and reached 120 stores. "This is a great achievement, especially in the non-food sector."
Redstone's Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Evrim Kırmızıtaş said that they were excited about the first day of the fair, of which they were the main sponsor.
Kırmızıtaş, "Dört years ago öin a story that started with zero franchise, our brand bearing my own surname has now reached 155 franchises in 11 countries. This success is actually a sign of why we are here. It is not possible to expect results without labor. The "Would You Be My Dealer?" fair is a very important event for our country and entrepreneurial candidates. It is a fair where there are opportunities from many sectors such as food, textile, real estate and everyone who wants to take advantage of these opportunities should definitely participate." used the expressions.
Redtaş commented that this fair is a great opportunity for those who want to expand their existing business or those who want to start from scratch to find the right brand and suitable conditions, and concluded his words as follows:
"It is very difficult to grow and develop without a franchise system. Independent real estate companies or small businesses are no longer preferred. Franchise models that offer a more corporate, systematic, headquartered and reliable structure with certain follow-up systems are emerging. We will be at the fair for four days and all participants will be in an intense effort to grow their own brands and in the end, our country will be the winner."
