Dorrek | Dorse Reklam’s story how did it start?
In 2017, I started a digital marketplace project. It was selected as one of the top 100 start-ups by the Ministry of Economy. While researching advertising channels for the promotion of the project, I realized that the costs were too high. I started looking for alternative advertising models.
I saw the trailer of a truck during my highway travel and perceived it as a billboard. I believed that if I dressed the advertisement of the project on the trailers, it would provide recognition in a wide geographical area for their in-city, intercity and international traffic.
I spent a lot of time talking to truckers and researching legal issues.
I created the infrastructure and prepared everything I needed to dress the trailers with advertisements.
But the software side of my Marketplace Project was not what I wanted.
At this point, I took a decision. I founded Dorrek | Dorse advertising company to offer truck trailers, which I believe will have a great advertising effect for my own project, to the service of advertisers and to benefit truck owners in terms of cost. This is how the story began.
Can you tell us about your services?
Advertising companies send us the cities, regions or countries where they want their advertisements to be seen. We take the trailers of the trucks in our portfolio, which are intensively used to the routes requested by our customer. The design is being prepared, we do the printing and dressing process. We make sure that the colors of the trucks we choose are compatible with the corporate colors of the company.
Dressing operation günü We install a GPS device on the truck. We install a special panel for the company. They can monitor the searches where their ads are located from devices that can connect to the internet such as cell phones and laptops. They can access mileage, location and past activity reports.
The advertising period is a fixed 1 year. That means 4 seasons and the trucks are on the road all the time. Keeping them clean for more time is a very important issue in terms of advertising. Every month we have the trucks completely washed. so not just the trailer. and we send washing videos to the companies that advertise.
In case of deformation that may occur during the advertising period, we repair the canvas free of charge or renew the canvas depending on the size of the deformation.
We offer a 50th000 km travel guarantee within 12 months advertising period. If the truck stays below this km, the contract period is automatically extended until 50,000 km is passed. When we look at the GPS data, they travel an average of 100th000 km in 1 year.
We fulfill the legal procedure. Through the Tüvtürk and notaries, we process the advertisement into the intermediary license.
The advertiser is not involved in anything. Dorrek organizes, operates and monitors the entire process.
When I wanted to patent the business model after I founded Dorrek, I learned that in the US, truck advertising is an advertising model that has been used effectively especially since 2005. We can also see examples of it in Europe. While on this subject, I would like to give the following information; Dorrek is the company that provides this service in the widest geographical area in the world. I can characterize it as an opportunity offered by the advantage of Turkey's location in terms of logistics. You have a customer and you have made a trailer advertising campaign?
We have made more than 100 truck trailer advertisements with 19 companies. We have companies that continue their second and third years. Our satisfaction rate is 80%, which means that 8 out of every 10 companies continue for the second year. What do you do on the business development side and what are your goals? Dorse Advertising çsome of the companies we work with have transportation needs. Since the truck is perceived as their own, we meet with our trucker friend and company officials and enable them to do transportation works with the same truck. We are planning to offer special discounts to trucks in Dorrek's portfolio by contacting fuel, tire and insurance companies in the coming period. Our goal is for Dorrek’s to be known globally! We want a company in Germany to know that it can advertise on truck trailers in Russia. We want all the countries we cover to be aware of our presence and services. In line with this goal, we expect to start the investment round in 2023.
