When and how was Irfan Usta founded? Can you briefly tell us your foundation story?
I opened my first restaurant in 2013. My interest in the kitchen started at a very young age. I learned to hold a knife at the age of 10. I started my professional life in the early 1990s in the kitchen of a lüks restaurant in Beşiktaş, Istanbul. My master at the restaurant I was used to saw this talent in me and gradually started to give me work. One day he asked me "can you make kebab?" and my master life started that day. After working in 6 of the best restaurants on the Anatolian and European sides of Istanbul, I opened a restaurant under my own name. Can you tell us about your concept?
Our franchise system is based on pita and lahmacun flavors. As we are ambitious in this regard, we have created a franchise concept with 8 equal lahmacuns and 10 equal pitas. We made vegan lahmacun for the first time in Turkey. We received very positive reactions from our guests and it was added to the favorite flavors group in the category of highly demanded üründs.
How many franchise branches will you open this year and next year? In which provinces?
Our goal is to open a restaurant in every province of Istanbul. We will have international and domestic investments in the coming months. Our goal for this year is to give at least 40 franchises. This year, due to the pandemic all over the world, we gave our weight to takeaway service.

With the experience that years have given us, we want to bring the Türk kebab kültürünü to the whole world in palate satisfaction. Currently, our US görünegotiations are continuing, but we also think that we can work with business partners who can promote this cultural heritage in all countries of the world.
