Founded by Khany Saydam, an American citizen of Turkish origin, TEIOC Language School provides language education with NLP coding technique. Saydam, who says that they teach their students English like native speakers in a short period of 6 months, also says that they provide NLP coding technique training apart from language education. We leave you alone with Khany Saydam to get to know TEIOC Language School more closely.
Can we get to know you?
I am Khany Saydam. After graduating from high school in Izmir, I studied political sciences at UCLA California University. At the same university, I received specialized training in NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) coding technique, and I had the opportunity to meet Yona Sabar, who taught Mel Gibson, one of the Hollywood actors of that period, Aramaic with NLP technique. Yona Hocam's words "the power of a person is hidden in his consciousness" impressed me so much that I started to specialize in NLP.
So how did you decide to come to Turkey?
Two years ago, when I came on vacation from America, I was very impressed by people's unhappiness and their desire to leave the country they live in. I wanted to stay in Turkey and do something for my hometown because this land gave me all the values I have while I was on the world stage. This is why I decided to take a leap of faith. Saying "It's time to give back to the land that has nourished me with the education I have received and the experience I have accumulated here", I rolled up my sleeves in a real sense. After returning to my country, I taught English with the NPL coding technique at Afyon Kocatepe University and Izmir University and to candidates who wanted to get the title of doçent. One year ago, I founded TEIOC (The English Institute of California) Language School. In our institution affiliated to the Ministry of National Education, we provide internationally recognized certificates. NLP, which stands for Neuro Linguistic Programming, can be translated into Turkish as "Neuro Linguistic Programming". Let me explain; the source of every behavior and thought we have is our nervous system. What carries data to our nervous system is our five senses. Since what we perceive with our five senses is prone to manipulate us, we cannot prevent manipulation, but with the awakening of consciousness we learn not to give in to it. For example, if you feel panic and excitement or fear while speaking a new language you have learned, you cannot speak that language because you have surrendered to the manipulated emotions created by these thoughts. In the NLP coding technique, you realize what you have surrendered to. Willpower comes into play; you don't give in to panic, fear or feelings of "what is going to happen to me". For example, if you put your finger in an electrical socket, you cannot be angry with the electricity because it makes you angry, because that will belongs to you. In this technique, we learn the L of NLP, that is, the language of nörology, and we discover how to deal with our own mind. What we are actually learning here is the language of our mind. Then you realize that it is wrong to be angry with the electricity when it flickers in the electrical socket where you put your hand with your strong will, that it is wrong to be angry with the electricity, that you take responsibility and realize that what comes to you from the sensual field is a manipulation. We do not only provide language training, we provide these trainings with NLP coding technique. We consider ourselves more as an NLP center. We have 3 keys that support the NLP coding technique. The first is Imagination (imagination), the second is Intonation (the tone of emotion you give to the word when you speak) and the third is Repetition. It sees it as a province of Istanbul, not Kocaeli. Therefore, Değirmendere was chosen as a pilot region. In boutique education, the effect of small places is greater. We take care of our students one-on-one and can spend more time with each of them. It is important for us to spend quality time with our students. You say that you teach a language in 6 months. Isn't that too ambitious? Yes, we complete all levels in 6 months. And the argument for that is that just because something takes longer doesn't mean that it is of better quality. The important thing is to follow the right path. We provide result-oriented training by using the time correctly. In this region, we have Erasmus students or soldiers who want to study in a foreign country, they want to learn a language in a limited time. In fact, we are able to shorten the duration of the process because we use subcoding. The fact that we teach languages in a short period of time saves our students a lot of time. We do not have a course system. Course systems are A-1, A-2, B-1, B-2, C-1, C-2 and it takes 2 months to finish a course. We teach 2 courses at 1 level and we even teach questions in different ways with alternative answers. What is important for us is to be "you" centered. That's why our trainings are leveled as You1, You2 and YouDone. You1 covers A-1 and A-2, You2 covers B-1 and B-2 and YouDone covers C-1 and C-2. With our levels, we build the skeleton of the language and build the muscles with the 3 keys I mentioned before, imagination, intonation and repetition. Then we flesh out the body together. Therefore, we get a new vücut, we create a new processor, we create a new human being. As far as I know, besides your school, you also provide language training to companies with NLP coding technique, right?
Yes. For example, we make agreements with colleges, kindergartens or factories to provide language training. In Istanbul, we taught English with NLP technique to the managers of a factory that sews for a clothing brand. Apart from language training, we also teach NLP coding technique. In NLP training, you meet yourself and you can adapt what you have learned to your life. In NLP training, by learning the language of the subconscious, we show the individual what they can achieve in a short period of time. Could you tell us a little bit about your teaching staff? There are 3 teachers with me. I teach English and Spanish and our teacher Donovan Jairos teaches English like me. Our teacher Delilah Dakouit teaches French. Our teachers are successful in applying the NLP technique as well as teaching in their native languages. The fact that they are also teaching in their mother tongue is of course a plus. They know how the language is used in daily life. In our lessons, instead of teaching from a book, we emphasize the patterns that our students can use in daily life. While teaching the language, we explain the concept of time, but we do not teach it with "tense" patterns. In daily life, in practical speech, it is difficult for them to put tenses or time concepts into sentences with these patterns. We don't need to know all the tenses as concepts, we just need to code which affixes and attachments to use for which tenses. When we have formed the skeleton of the language, we have a predisposition to learn English. We are starting to give franchises as of September. In the last year, we have achieved a 98 percent success rate. Here, we have even taught English to children with dyslexia. We give English training to these children in the field. We go to the market together, we speak English while shopping. By bringing language into our daily lives, we are actually practicing it. What are your criteria for a franchise? We prefer to give franchises to institutions that can carry our corporate identity. Those who apply to us must first master our NLP system and receive training from us. We also support them in building their staff and creating their systems. My husband, finally, does TEIOC Language School have a slogan?
Our motto is ‘Knowing a language is a powerful toolürl;rür’. In practice, we teach languages, but the real meaning of our slogan is that we teach a language that no one else teaches, and we give the individual the power of knowing a language. We teach the individual the language of the subconscious. That's why knowing a language is powerful and not accessible to everyone. We enable someone who sees everything concretely in the material world to overcome his/her limits. When he crosses the boundaries, he learns the language of the subconscious.
