Arslan Dairy Products has been serving the dairy industry since 1940. With the acquisition of Tezcanlar Dairy Products, the company has become the largest yogurt and ayran producer in Thrace.

Murat Yalçın, the brand's General Manager and a graduate of Trakya University's Food Engineering program, says he took his first step into the industry in 1999: “I got involved in milk,” he says with a smile, noting that he joined the Arslan Family in 2006. According to him, the dynamism of this sector is a separate source of motivation: “We have a saying: funerals wait, milk doesn't. This continuity keeps us going.”

Arslan Süt's roots extend back to Silivri. In the 1940s, its founders, Ali Haydar Efendi, transported Istanbul's yogurt from Silivri to Karaköy by boat. Yalçın emphasizes that they continue to preserve the legacy of that era today: “We are the only company that has obtained the geographical indication certificate for Silivri Yogurt and produces using this certificate. We preserve the tradition with products such as clay pots, bakraç, special kaymak yogurt, and black-leavened ayran. Our goal is to introduce this local and traditional flavor to all of Turkey.”

Capacity expanded in 2019 with the acquisition of Tezcanlar Süt. “When Kani Tezcan indicated he was tired, we took over the brand. We moved to this facility in 2020. We currently process 100 tons of milk per day,” says Yalçın.

The milk delivered to the factory is collected from refrigerated tanks in villages, undergoes analysis, and is processed under the supervision of engineers. Today, Arslan Süt stands out not only for its production capacity but also for its geographically indicated products. “We are the only company to have obtained the geographical indication certificate for Silivri Yogurt,” says Murat Yalçın, emphasizing that this certificate certifies the traditional taste.

The brand reaches consumers with a wide range of products, from clay pot yogurt to clotted cream varieties, from black-leavened ayran to butter. The product range includes yogurt and ayran, as well as churned butter, clotted cream, and dil cheese. Yalçın explains that they work with major chains such as Macro Center, Migros, and Metro, adding, “We also produce Migros and A101's own branded products.”
