In the service industry, the customer’s main concern is often not so much finding someone to do the job, but rather knowing whom to trust, how much to pay, and what standard of service will be provided. According to Erem, this uncertainty is opening up a new area of growth for the service industry in terms of franchise and dealership systems.
New Expectations in Service: Trust and Standards
Consumers no longer simply want affordable prices; they now expect fixed rates, trained staff, warranties, timely service, digital appointments, and centralized customer support. This approach transforms personalized service into a branded system that operates under specific rules and quality standards.
Service Franchises Are Growing Worldwide
In the examples cited by Erem, the U.S.-based company Neighborly brings together various home services under 28 global brands and more than 5,000 franchise locations. JAN-PRO is growing in commercial cleaning, PuroClean in restoration, Dogtopia in pet care, and Junk King in waste collection, all using similar business models.
What these brands have in common is not creating a new need, but transforming existing services into a scalable business model through standardization, training, technology, centralized reservations, and customer tracking.

New Franchise Opportunities in Turkey
In Turkey, there is strong demand and expertise in plumbing, electrical services, cleaning, restoration, technical maintenance, and pet care services. The franchise model can help small businesses become more professional and scalable by providing service standards, price transparency, training, technology, and brand assurance.
“The issue is no longer about finding a good craftsman; it’s about taking good service out of the hands of individuals and turning it into a system.”
An Opportunity for Digital Transformation for Trade Associations
Erem points out that existing chambers of commerce and professional organizations can also be part of this transformation through digital platforms. Making certified service teams accessible at the neighborhood level can both increase business volume for merchants and strengthen consumer confidence.
In the coming period, the most important promise of service franchises will not be just the work performed, but trust, standards, and predictability. Brands that can bring these three elements together under a strong system can pave the way for new franchise and dealership opportunities in Turkey.
